Javier Rodriguez - President, DaVita Inc.
Executive Leadership Team
Mr. Rodriguez joined DaVita in 1998 and currently leads the company’s relationships with insurance companies and is responsible for the operation of approximately 300 dialysis clinics. Prior to joining DaVita, Mr. Rodriguez worked for Baxter Healthcare Corporation in Finance from 1995-1996. He also served as Director of Operations for CBS Marketing Inc. in Mexico City. Mr. Rodriguez holds a BS in Finance and Marketing from Boston College. He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and completed an executive program at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Todd Ezrine - General Manager
Todd brings to VillageHealth a strong background in operations, strategy, and business development.
A strategic thinker with the ability to switch from high level planning to operational reality, Todd has a proven delivery record of revenue, operating and financial growth that will help guide and grow VillageHealth.
Before joining VillageHealth, Todd served as President and General Manager for Global Medical imaging (GMI), a $25M company focused on diagnostic ultrasound and nuclear imaging. Prior to GMI, Todd spent 5 years doing corporate strategy and business development for both Bain & Company and Underwriters Laboratories.
Todd received his MBA from the University of Michigan Business School and earned his B.S. in Biology from Washington and Lee University.
Stephen McMurray, MD, FACP - VP, Clinical Integrated Care Management Services, DaVita Inc.
Dr. McMurray is a graduate of Indiana University and Indiana University Medical School and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He practiced nephrology for 31 years at Indiana Medical Associates, a 35-physician multi-specialty group in Fort Wayne, Ind. He was one of the founding members of Renal Care Group and is a past member of the board of directors of the Renal Physicians Association. Most recently he served as Medical Director for the Fresenius Medical Care ESRD Demonstration project.
Eric Franco - Director of Financial Planning
If you thought an organization that specializes in operational efficiencies would have a sharp financial mind on the staff, you were right. Eric, a former Bain & Co. consultant and Procter & Gamble finance manager, handles our budgeting and forecasting, market analysis and prioritization, cash flow and return on investment analysis, and profit improvement analysis.
Eric comes to VillageHealth from DaVita, where he supported a broad range of business lines including peritoneal dialysis, chronic kidney disease, disease management, physician practice consulting, CMS demonstration projects and Medicare Advantage Plans.
Eric received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He earned two BS degrees, in management engineering and economics, from Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines.
Maribeth Sommer, RN, CNN, MBA - Vice President of Clinical Services
Currently Vice President of Clinical Services for both VillageHealth and DaVita, Maribeth is excited to be ramping up her involvement with VillageHealth.
Maribeth was a facility administrator with Total Renal Care, a DaVita predecessor company, so she is deeply familiar with the needs of kidney-care patients. Then at the corporate office she gained responsibility for creating and implementing programs to improve patient quality outcomes, such as training, education, project management and support for her group’s clinical services team.
Maribeth brings to VillageHealth a longstanding belief in the power of collaboration. At DaVita she forged working relationships with other departments including the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Quality Management, and Clinical Education — and with other companies and institutions wherever she saw an opportunity to improve patients’ lives.
Before becoming a dialysis facility administrator in 2001, Maribeth headed clinical education for Everest Healthcare Services.
